the why of an innovative space


Gaining more and more popularity, the Metaverse is settling in users’ minds and discussions by leaps and bounds. Google searches and hashtags with that word have increased exponentially in recent months and this is due, in part, to the fact that big players, brands and large NFT projects are betting on this new universe to not only grow economically but also to position themselves as pioneers in what promises to be the future of technology and innovation.

Currently as founder of CROING, creative and digital agency, and working as Marketing Advisor of FlickyGang, the NFT project genesis of FlickPlay, I have been able to rediscover the possibility of integrating brands positioned in the web2 and platforms such as The Sandbox, whose construction is given from the metaverse.

Leading the marketing and communication strategies of several NFTs and web 3.0 projects has allowed me to continue growing in the world of innovation. I bet on the metaverse because I see in this universe possibilities of economic growth and positioning for brands and digital artists.

In order to understand the dimension and characteristics of this new universe we can take into account the following:

  • The metaverse encompasses immersive environments, often (but not always) with virtual or augmented reality technology.
  • It is always active and exists in real time.
  • It spans the virtual and physical worlds, as well as multiple platforms.
  • It is powered by a fully functioning virtual economy, often (but not always) based on cryptocurrencies and digital goods and assets, including non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
  • The metaverse enables people to have virtual identities, presence and “agency,” including peer-to-peer interactions, transactions, generation of each user’s own content and “world-building.”

From my experience in consulting NFT projects, the key in all this digital and physical universe is the new active role that users play, not only in the generation of content but also in their role as owners as they can influence the direction and success of NFT projects. Ownership + community are the drivers of the metaverse and NFT projects. This influence and decision-making power that users have over brands has never been seen before. By transacting, investing, buying and selling in the metaverse, users visualize a new and innovative economic opportunity.

The metaverse facilitates the business of the future, but you have to listen to the people.
